Reports directly to the President
The Events Director oversees the planning, coordination and implementation of organizational events, including but not limited to the following:
Design and deliver the format for the District and State Competitions, Socials, Awards Ceremony, Training Events and all TSTA events. This person is creative.
Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of non-event platforms for delivering
TSTA programmatic content in a way that is accessible, cost-effective, and consistent with the organization’s mission, policies and standards.
Ensure that events and content delivery strategies and plans are aligned with the organization’s strategic and financial objectives in collaboration with TSTA executive management.
The Events Director is also responsible for discipline. The director must enforce the Student Code of Conduct and The Coaches Code of Conduct. The includes informing members of violations of either of the Codes of Conduct.
The Director of Events will serve as assistant of Judging whenever the Director of Judging cannot served due to a conflict of interest or other reasons.

This person is responsible professional work involving the organization and implementation of various social, cultural, education, and/or recreational programs and services for TSTA.
The volunteer allocated to this job is expected to perform, with a high degree of autonomy, those tasks necessary to assure the effectiveness of any program or service within the area of assignment. Work involves supervision of others which could include supervisors and liaison with other organizations and/or external businesses or agencies. Work is performed in accordance with established goals and objectives and is reviewed through the observation of results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and implements social, cultural, educational, or recreational programs or services.
Plans and coordinates the work of subordinates involved in food preparation and services needed for the event.
Makes arrangements for social events such as banquets, receptions, and other special events, including menu preparation and food service, decorations, seating arrangements, invitations, etc.
Provides liaison in serving special guests and attending to special needs of visitors.
Maintains appropriate records and files relative to available resources, programs, expenditures, and other matters involved in the successful completion of activities.
Provides requisite public relations services relative to programs and service.
Performs related work as required.
